Saiki Factory

Our fermentation business began in 1962 with the start of yeast production by fermentation of wood molasses, at our Saiki Factory
Since then, over half a century we have continued to improve our technologies related to microbial fermentation, with yeast serving as the core product. We utilize our own technological capabilities and use some of the world’s largest continuous fermentation equipment. Together with meeting the needs of a wide range of fields such as food ingredients and pharmaceuticals we also are proactively taking on the challenge of state-of-the-art biotechnology in areas such as cell fusion and bioreactors.
In our business activities, we also advance efforts to improve the environment with consideration for people and nature, seeking coexistence and co-prosperity with the community.
