In April 2019, the Company made a new start as a manufacturing subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation Life Sciences Limited in conjunction with the merger of the former KOHJIN Life Sciences Co., Ltd. with it.

Through the production business in Saiki City, Oita Prefecture, which has a history of more than 60 years since the era of KOHJIN Co., Ltd., we continue to strive towards the realization of new value creation by combining the advanced fermentation technologies of Mitsubishi Corporation Life Sciences Group companies and through research and development in the field of biotechnology. We also continue in our efforts to contribute to people’s food and health by way of offering high-quality, high value-added products that meet the needs of customers in Japan and around the world.

We also recognize that safe operation and addressing environmental issues are our especially important responsibilities and that thorough compliance is essential. By addressing sustainability key issues such as conserving the natural environment and growing together with local communities continuously and proactively toward realizing a sustainable society, we will meet the expectations of our customers and local community.
